Honorary Prize "FORTITER ET RECTE"	4.03.2010

On 4th of March, 2010 the Director of MORATEX Institute - Mrs Elzbieta Witczak Ph.D., Eng. received at the Regional Police Headquarters in Lodz the Honorary Prize "FORTITER ET RECTE", awarded by Chief Police Commander. It is a very prestigious prize intended as a form of honouring merits of Police officers or civilians, organisations and institutions acting for the benefit of Police and for common accepted rules of both state and citizens' security, as well as scientific research or publications concerning the Police. The Prize was handed by the Chancellor of Chapter - professor Zbigniew Judycki Ph.D., together with Regional Police Commander of Lodz Voivodship - inspector Marek Działoszynski.

Starting new project within Operational Programme Innovative Economy	16.12.2009

On 1st of January 2010 Institute of Security Technologies MORATEX starts working on a new project within the frame of OP IE. The title of project is "Modern technologies for textile industry. A chance for Poland", and the Leader shall be the Institute of Biopolymers and Chemical Fibres. More information on the project available here.

Decoration for Director of "MORATEX" Institute	26.06.2009

Director of the Institute of Security Technology "MORATEX", Mrs Elżbieta Witczak, Ph.,D., was decorated by the President of Republic of Poland with the Officer's Cross of the Order of Poland's Rebirth in appreciation of her outstanding achievements in promoting Polish science and technology ideas. The decoration has been handed on 19th of May 2009 at the Belvedere.

Golden Medal at the Poznan International Fair (MTP) for "Multi-Functional Ballistic Cover"	12.06.2007

The Jury of contest at the "Science for Economy" Saloon, Poznan has awarded this year one of their 16 main awards - Golden Medal of the Poznan International Fair - to the Multi-Functional Ballistic Cover. The Cover is a solution addressed to the Police, especially for the counter-terrorist groups of officers, Border Guards and units subordinated to the National Defense Ministry. It is a sort of shelter for the officers against bullets shot from small firearms and against fragments of explosive devices. Depending on the threat it may act as: ballistic shield, ballistic cover mountable onto a car or a glass surface of buildings, ballistic protection of driver's or passenger's seat inside a car, ballistic shelter that allows for evacuation of wounded individuals out of area exposed to threats from bullets and fragments, improvised protection against the effect of an explosive device's blast.

Bronze medals at CONCURSE LUPINE for "Personal Bullet-proof Suit" and "Suit for Pirotechnician"	08.05.2007

The CONCOURS LEPINE International Inventions Fair is great international expo event, held annually in Paryżu, where inventions from various science and technology areas, developed by scientific-research and industrial bodies worldwide are exposed . This year Bronze medals have been awarded to our proposals: Personal Bullet-proof Suit - innovative solution for individual body protection designed for soldiers and officers including Police and Border Guards of the first srike units, exposed to direst shooting during the terrorists groups elimination. The novelty lies in providing high ballistic resistance on a large protected area of human body. Thanks to a modular design it may be precisely adjusted to a user's shilhoette, thus allows for big freedom of movement, giving therefore high level of usage comfort. Suit for Pirotechnician - it is intended as an additional, special equipment for officers of sapper and pyrotechnician groups, performing their operations within the area of uncontrolled explosion threats. The Suit consists of: tactical vest helmet with face shield (visor) ballistic vest and shoes for duty dog
